A company that has spent the last 11 years developing and perfecting its own unique version of the directory concept for the internet age has been named the Attaché Software Aspiring Business of the Year.

Presented as part of the 2015 My Business Awards, hipages.com.au was recognised for the prestigious award at the recent presentation dinner.

The company's 11 year history and its exponential growth to a team of 140 staff were among the reasons it was chosen as the winner of the Attaché Software award.

Hipages.com.au was started in a garage in 2004 (along with its sister website naturaltherapypages.com.au), by David Vitek and Roby Sharon-Zipser.

Dissatisfied with the effort required to find great quality local businesses, the duo decided to create specialist directory websites in two areas they were passionate about, home improvement and natural therapies.

While technology was a key driver enabling this change, the pair had the insight needed to recognise the desire for a real service offering that would connect businesses with customers in a controlled way, minimising risk for both parties.

The hipages Group draws more than 1.5 million monthly visitors to its sites, with a job being posted on their home improvement website every 45 seconds.

Attaché Software congratulates hipages Group on winning this highly-regarded award.
