All New Zealand employers should have received a letter from Inland Revenue (IR) this week regarding how to shift to payday filing.

This communication is a follow up to the first from IR telling employers “It’s time to shift to payday filing“. It contains a reminder that payday filing is coming and a ‘how to’ video on getting started with your shift to payday filing.

Attaché has completed integration with IR gateway services and is successfully submitting payday filing returns. The gateway services method means our clients will be able to easily meet their compliance obligations directly from our payroll solution rather than uploading files or entering information in myIR.

Payday filing is a New Zealand government initiative that changes the way businesses report on employee payments such as salary or wages, pay as you earn (PAYE) and other deductions. Compliance is mandatory by 1 April 2019.
